COLLABORATIONS

VASBI

VASBI is the only multi-disciplinary vascular access society in the UK dedicated to improving the care and quality of life of haemodialysis patients. The society was established in 2010 by a small group of like-minded surgeons, nephrologists and interventional radiologists. Since then, the society has grown and attracted a wider scope of health professionals including dialysis and vascular access specialist nurses.

GEMAV

GEMAV is a multidisciplinary scientific association founded in 2019 that includes all professionals whose training and professional dedication are exercised in fields of Health Sciences related to vascular access for hemodialysis. The main objective of GEMAV is to promote and disseminate the proper management of vascular access to optimize the care of people with kidney disease.  https://gemav.org/

After the success achieved with the four previous GEMAV Congresses, we hope to live up to this new forum in which we can exchange knowledge, ideas and desire to continue developing as professionals in the field of vascular access for hemodialysis. We will once again have prestigious national and international speakers. The hottest topics will be reviewed…

SIRS

SIRS2022, the 6th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Saudi Interventional Radiology Society (SIRS), which was held at Hilton, Jeddah, November, 10-12, 2022.

It is a 3-day hybrid program to highlight the clinical strengths of our specialty using a case-based approach. In addition, we incorporated a more in-depth Interventional Neuroradiology symposium to address the specialty needs in a multidisciplinary approach. Moreover, we organized dedicated programs for allied health, trainees and medical students, in addition to robust workshops.

SAVE

SAVE is a brazilian Symposium dedicated to developing dialysis access interventions in Latin America. The name is a portuguese acronym that stands for Vascular Access and Endovascular Symposium. It also emphasizes the main objetive: “create, preserve and SAVE dialysis access to prolong the life of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients”. Originally created in 2017 by the vascular surgeons Dr Leonardo Harduin and Dr Thiago Barroso and kicked off in 2018 in Brasília the capital of Brazil. Since the beginning the mission was developing Dialysis Access Interventions, both endovascular and open procedures, firstly in Brazil and then throughout the entire Latin America. Nowadays, the Symposium is held by a multicenter group of four vascular surgeons from different regions in Brazil dedicated to dialysis access:

CiDA

The annual CiDA meeting began in 2003, and was co-founded by two physicians who envisioned ways to deliver better care for patients with kidney failure. Ingemar Davidson MD, PhD, (a transplant surgeon) and Bart Dolmatch MD, FSIR, (an interventional radiologist), have co-directed this event which is now in its 18th year.

The kidney failure patient has complex medical needs, and optimal solutions to provide life-saving renal replacement may not be obvious. Surgeons, Nephrologists, Interventional Radiologists, staff at dialysis units, and others are all equipped with different training, experience, and expertise. All of these providers offer certain elements of patient care. But care isn’t seamless, and there are many different ways to “see” the issues that these patients face.

PAIRS

The PAIRS 2022 Annual Congress is getting a major upgrade! Join us on Wednesday, May 11 to Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Grand Hyatt Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We will be one of the first meetings that will utilize Grand Hyatt’s newly minted state-of-the art Exhibition Center where you can find a bigger educational space to conduct workshops and meet-the-expert sessions, as well as interact with more industry partners who are ready to show you their latest developments. This brings another dimension to PAIRS, ensuring that we continue to be the landmark for education in the region.

Pan Arab Interventional Radiology Society (PAIRS) was established in 2006, with the aim to spread the knowledge about interventional radiology in the Arab world and region. PAIRS is a nonprofit, professional medical society dedicated to fostering research in interventional radiology by supporting education, training and scientific research.

DASy

DASy aims to induce synergy among healthcare professionals of different disciplines to provide quality care for dialysis access. DASy utilizes various formats to enhance sharing and transfer of knowledge, clinical decision strategy and skill. It also promotes collaboration in scientific research.

The society’s concerted multi-disciplinary effort is vital to maintaining the lifeline (dialysis access) of renal failure patients. Its mission is to Induce synergy among healthcare professionals to improve the holistic care for dialysis access.
