SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE

The 4^th EVA Meeting will be held in Patras, Greece on June 14-15, 2024. The 2-day Meeting will be hosted at the Conference and Cultural Center of the University of Patras placed in the University Campus. The EVA Meeting is a 2-day Meeting dedicated, but not limited to, the endovascular management of vascular access. The goal is to bring people together to discuss the challenges we face, as physicians, in this demanding field, with a view to improve the quality of care we provide to dialysis patients. 

The Meeting is created on a multi-disciplinary, multi-national perspective, and since the inaugural event this goal was achieved. Members of the faculty are nephrologists, interventional nephrologists, interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, transplant surgeons, cardiothoracic surgeons, infectious disease specialists, cardiologists etc. So far, the Meeting has invited physicians from the USA, Canada, Singapore, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Brazil, the UK, Germany, Italy, Poland, Croatia, Austria, Spain, France, Belgium, Israel, the Czech Republic and, of course, Greece. More than 350 participants attended last year’s EVA Meeting. The Meeting is actively supporting young physicians to participate offering every year educational grants covering their travel accommodation and registration.

The EVA Meeting is proud of its collaboration with other congresses and societies. The CiDA congress for the USA, the PAIRS congress from the UAE, the GEMAV congress from Spain, the SAVE congress from Brazil, the DASy congress from Singapore, the SIRS congress from Saudi Arabia and the N-PATH program have participated and partnered with the EVA Meeting. The last two years the EVA Meeting POSTS is the official journal of the Meeting where faculty members provide their view and perspective on various hot topics. 

The 4^th EVA Meeting is on the way and a preliminary program is already available. The program will include sessions on different aspects of vascular access management, the latest trials and guidelines, the role of ultrasound, case-based discussions, but also innovation and bench research. We designed our sessions to be able to explore the different issues we come across, and also have time to discuss. We support different opinions, not for the controversy itself, but with an aim to understand the different aspects of every problem. We would like physicians attending the Meeting, to come out of each session with a better understanding, if not with a solution for every issue.
